10 THINGS EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ISLAM
Well written. From the Christian Coalition blog…

THE FIFTH GOSPEL
This was posted on the HBU Apologetics FB page by my Oxford Professor. From the author: “The late British evangelist Gypsy Smith once quipped, ‘There are five Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the Christian, but most people never read the first four.” (Ouch)
I’ve ordered the book. Haven’t read it yet. Looking forward to doing so. The author is a personal friend of the professor I mentioned.

A THEOLOGY OF SEXUALITY
I taught this to our BHBC students last Wed. night. Outside of the clear biblical teaching of homosexuality being sin, there is nothing easy about this topic. “I’ve raised a gay child. Are you telling me homosexuality is sin?” This is what one Christian mom asked me last week. My response did not compromise Scripture, but it is too lengthy to print here. With Evangelical Christian churches softening their position on homosexuality, as well as the Catholic Church softening its stand this week (conservative Catholics describe this as “betrayal”), it is well worth our time to study the Word of God deeply where this explosive and divisive topic is concerned. NOTE: One’s response to the Bible’s teaching on homosexuality is not the litmus test for adherence to the Gospel – but satan is trying to make it so. My notes from my talk to the BHBC students are below.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS OF APOLOGETICS
Very well-written. After the intro, you can click on the different “commandments” to be taken to different links where the author elaborates on his thoughts.
There’s a reason Jesus said, “By this all will know if you’re my disciple – if you love one another,” and Paul said, “Speak the truth in love.” If LOVE doesn’t lead in our walk and our talk, what we have to say (regardless of how intelligent it might sound) will, as Paul rightly described, come across to our listener(s) as “a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” (Jn. 13:35; Eph. 4:15; 1 Cor. 13:1)
QUOTE(s) OF THE WEEK
“A scared world needs a fearless church.” – A.W. Tozer
“Don’t judge a man by where he is, because you don’t know how far he has come.” – C.S. Lewis
“Preach not calmly and quietly as though you were asleep, but preach with fire and pathos and passion.” – Charles Spurgeon (right or wrong, I don’t know how to preach any other way :))
“Belief doesn’t create truth. Unbelief doesn’t destroy truth. Christian faith goes beyond reason but not against reason.” —Paul E. Little (from, Know Why You Believe)
“Some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again.” – C. S. Lewis (I love this quote.) 🙂
LAUGHTER IS GOOD MEDICINE:
“Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” – Mark Twain
GRACE NOTES: “Suffer With Me”
That side of the Gospel we rarely hear preached about on Sundays. But there is not a single person who does not face it.
