Got Questions?
I’ve shared this web site once before. But it’s been a while. Do you – or your friends & family – have questions about the Bible, Christianity, spiritual things? This is a great resource.
Newest book on Intelligent Design releases July 12.
THE FAITH OF NBA STAR, STEPH CURRY:
Steph Curry is the star of the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors (they are presently in the NBA semi-finals.) Curry is a Christian. Here is a good article on the young man.
QUOTE(s) of the WEEK
LAUGHTER IS GOOD MEDICINE
Top Ten Signs You’re In for a Long Sermon (Part 3 of 3)
- When the preacher brings in his notes he rolls in a filing cabinet.
- The choir loft is furnished with La-Z-Boys.
- Instead of taking off his watch and laying it on the pulpit, the preacher turns up a four-foot hour glass.
- The preacher says, “You’ll be out in time to watch the Super Bowl.” (And it’s only November.)
BIG CHANGES FOR WED. NIGHTS in the FALL
As I mentioned this past Wed. night during rehearsal, Jason would like me to co-teach with him on Wed. nights. What this means is that both, Praise Team rehearsal and Adult Choir rehearsal will experience a change in scheduling. Beginning in September, the Praise Team has already agreed to move their rehearsals to Thursday evenings. Also, beginning in September, Adult Choir will be moved to 5:30pm on Wed. evenings. Below is what the Wed. & Thur. Evening Schedule will look like beginning in the Fall:
WEDNESDAY:
5:30pm – Adult Choir Rehearsal
6pm – dessert fellowship in COMMONS
6:30pm – classes begin (Jason & Nick will co-teach a large group, while other “break-out” classes will be meeting as well.
7:45pm – Dismiss
THURSDAY: 6pm – Praise Team Rehearsal in Worship Center
SUMMER SCHEDULE NOW IN EFFECT!
We, presently, are NOT having mid-week rehearsal. There are also no mid-week Adult activities. That means we’ll show up a little earlier on Sunday mornings – 8:45am – to have some time to rehearse and sing that morning. We’ve done this in the past during the summer months and it has worked out very well.
