OUTSTANDING REHEARSAL THIS PAST SUNDAY!
There are 5 songs in our Christmas musical (together with the narration, the musical lasts about 35 minutes). We have now rehearsed – and learned – 3 1/2 of those songs. And it’s only October! We’re making tremendous strides. THANK YOU for your attendance! (And we had THREE new choir members this past Sunday!)
Our next X-tra rehearsal is Sunday, Nov. 6th, at 4pm. Love you all!
“CASE FOR CHRIST” MOVIE 2017
Josh McDowell’s “More Than a Carpenter” (published 1977) was the first book I read to pique my interest in Christian Apologetics. The second book I read to do the same was Lee Strobel’s “The Case for Christ.” (1998)
Both McDowell and Strobel are neither gullible nor unintelligent. Both are former atheists who did all they could to prove that Christianity was nothing more than a mere fantastical fairy-tale. Strobel, educated at Yale, confidently asserts, “We have a defensible faith.” McDowell, while lecturing at the University of Uruguay, was asked by a student, “Why don’t you refute Christianity?” He replied honestly, “I would except for one thing. I can’t explain away an event in history: the resurrection of Jesus Christ.”
Next Spring (2107), a movie based on Strobel’s journey from atheism to belief in Christ hits the big screen.
ANGELS IN THE SKY?
I stumbled across this FOX NEWS article this past week. The article includes a video a man took of a cloud formation. I have to admit – I agree with the guy who took the video – I’ve never seen a cloud formation like that either. Enjoy Read the article and watch the video by clicking here.
QUOTE(s) of the WEEK
